SPF’s Cabanas are lush seating areas situated amongst several of SPF's courts. While cabanas are generally available on a first‑come, first‑served basis, you can make the experience your own when you book a private event at SPF. You'll have an exclusive place for your group to sit, eat, and drink while they watch the rest of your crew slice and serve on the court! Cabanas are subject to availability.
Yes. When you book a court, you may add a coach to your reservation for private instruction. You can also sign up for group classes via our website and app.
Yes. When you book a court via our online platform, you’ll also create an account to track your bookings and explore other offerings at SPF. You’ll be able to complete your waiver before you arrive, so there’s no holdup getting you on the courts.
SPF Chicago is currently open 7 days a week.
Yes. Simply scan the QR code at your Cabana and place your order — your food and drinks will be brought right to you. If you've booked a private event, you can bring food to your Cabana if booked in‑house or via one of our preferred catering partners.
Of course — we love private events and parties! Email events@playspf.com and someone on our team will get back to you so we can start party planning. We also host public events and programming — peek at our Social page for what's coming up.
Yes. Explore our class schedule for lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players, along with fun cardio and specific skill‑based classes. You can also add a coach to any court booking (when available) for a private lesson.

Yes. As long as it’s available, you can add a ball machine to any reservation for an additional fee.
We recommend athletic attire for pickleball. Please wear shoes with non‑marking soles to avoid scuffing the court.
• Court 1 is a separate court under our 20’+ clearance, closest to our main bar and self‑pour tap wall.• Courts 2 through 7 are side‑by‑side courts under our 20’+ clearance.• Court 8 is our enclosed, private 60’×30’ court with 13’+ clearance. This court includes black lights for an optional glow‑in‑the‑dark experience.• Court 9 is our enclosed, private championship‑sized court with 14’+ clearance.
Yes. Paddles will be available for rent at our front desk for $5.00 per person. SPF members also have access to free paddle rental and specials on demos.
When you make a court reservation, you’ll get access to your court and the instant replay system for the duration of your booking. Bring your paddles and balls, or rent from us when you arrive!
Court reservations must be a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours. Currently, 30‑minute increments are unavailable for booking, but we're working on making that possible in the future!
Bookings for one court can be made for a maximum of 12 guests. After you reserve your court, please invite your friends to join your reservation so they can handle all of their paperwork beforehand and we can get you to your court faster!
You don’t (but we still think it’s pretty fun)! SPF is equal parts a hub for excellent food and beverage as it is a place to play pickleball and other fun games. All seats and the café section & tables are available for walk‑in.
